Dear Friends,
California is at a crossroads. Cuts in critical state programs like our schools and social services have made it impossible for many working families to make ends meet.
As Californians, we deserve a state in which every resident has access to a first-rate public education and quality, affordable healthcare; where workers have access to safe, sustainable employment; where we can walk the streets without fear; and where we breathe clean air and drink clean water. Together, we can remove barriers to opportunity and help Californians succeed.
We need strong, experienced leadership to push forward creative solutions that will create new jobs, reinvest in public education, and restore our social safety net. I have the experience and skills to help move our state forward toward this better and brighter future.
My breadth of experience spans every level of government – from city halls and state-level governing boards to the Oakland Port Commission. A small business owner for over 25 years, I’ve been especially involved in the non-profit world and have founded, run, and directed non-profit organizations throughout California.
I’m running for State Assembly to carry forward this District’s legacy of statewide leadership on civil rights issues and to continue protecting the most vulnerable among us. At this critical juncture we need an Assembly Member who can hit the ground running on day one. I have the experience and vision necessary to continue the legacy of collaborative leadership that this district deserves. I will work with my colleagues in Sacramento to repair our state’s infrastructure and hold California’s leadership accountable.
This is my commitment to you and your family. I’d be honored to have your support.
